Beginning Friday, June 4, Sparta Community Hospital will be offering laboratory blood draw drive-thru services. The new service will be held each Friday from 6:45am through 8:30am. All patients must be age 16 and up and have no history of phlebotomy issues. The service is for blood work only and with a doctor’s order. Patients who wish to schedule may do so by calling 618-443-2177, at that time they will receive further instructions.
“Drive-thru health services is nothing new to us after the COVID pandemic. States Dan Walker, Ancillary Services Director. We were also able to experience and try out drive-thru lab draws during our January week long drive-thru lab health fair. There are some who are still uneasy to return to healthcare facilities, so we will do our utmost best to provide lab services that will result in our patients not putting off much needed blood screens.”
The hospital’s lab services will also be providing lab technicians to Marissa Medical Clinic on Tuesdays and Steeleville Clinic on Wednesdays to assist medical staff with lab draws.
