Sparta Community Hospital Launches Winter Wellness Challenge
This winter, Sparta Community Hospital District invites the community to embark on a transformative health and wellness journey with the launch of its 8-Week Winter Wellness Challenge. Designed for individuals of all fitness levels, the program focuses on personal growth, encouraging participants to set and crush their own goals—because the only competition is yourself!
Led by Courtney Johnson, Registered Dietitian, and Larry Bernardoni, Fitness Supervisor, this comprehensive program combines education, nutrition, and fitness to help participants make meaningful lifestyle changes. With no participation fees or special equipment required, it’s an accessible way for anyone to take the first step toward better health.
What participants can expect:
• Weekly 30-Minute Wellness Education sessions to build healthy habits.
• Weekly Nutritional and Physical Challenges to keep motivation high.
• Weekly Weigh-Ins and a personalized tracker to monitor progress.
• BMI Tracking at the start, midpoint, and conclusion (Weeks 1, 4, and 8).
• 1-on-1 Nutritional Consultation for tailored dietary guidance.
• Physical Assessment Rating (PAR) testing to evaluate fitness improvements.
The program will run from January 22, 2025, through March 12, 2025. Sessions are scheduled every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Group Fitness Room at The Center at North Campus Healthcare, with weigh-ins beginning at 5:00 p.m. to track progress.
“This program is all about empowering individuals to prioritize their health and make sustainable changes, no matter where they’re starting from,” said Courtney Johnson. “It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress, one step at a time.”
